Two years ago, I had the idea of dressing people on the streets in NOT's clothing - a physical experiment that began in the form of transparent sheets of plastic with garments printed on them. You would hold one up in front of your eye, thereby instantly dressing anyone you saw on the streets and snapping their picture. Not just a boring standing pose, each floating garment was in active movement. I sent a small stack of these transparencies to friends around the world, from India to the Philippines, to play with. After delighting in the photos that came back, I thought: how fun would it be for anyone in the world to have this in their pocket to play with at any time? And, if I can't travel everywhere in the world, at least my clothing can!
I'm so excited to announce that the idea has finally come alive! The app can be downloaded for free on Google Play or Apple Store! Follow the account @notonthestreets_app and don't forget to post any of your pictures with the hashtag #notonthestreets and which ever city you're in!
Get creative with your surroundings and poses! I'd love to hear any feedback, and if you have requests for certain garments you'd like to see, let me know as I'll be adding new garments over time.
